This review highlights key technological innovations such as next-generation sequencing platforms, single-cell sequencing and long-read sequencing, emphasizing their transformative implications for understanding complex biological processes and disease mechanisms. These technologies offer unprecedented resolution and scalability, facilitating the identification of novel transcripts, alternative splicing events and regulatory elements with greater accuracy. Moreover, their application in clinical settings promises advancements in personalized medicine and therapeutic development. As genomic sequencing methodologies continue to evolve rapidly, they hold immense potential to further elucidate the intricacies of gene expression dynamics and drive future breakthroughs in biomedical research.
