In a post-antibiotic era, alternative strategies become imperative to combat microbial infections effectively. This article explores various alternative approaches to managing microbial susceptibility, including phage therapy, probiotics, immunomodulation, antimicrobial peptides and innovative drug delivery systems. Understanding and implementing these alternative approaches are crucial for addressing the pressing issue of antibiotic resistance and ensuring sustainable treatment options for microbial infections.
