The integration of technology into healthcare has revolutionized the practice of nursing, particularly within advanced nursing roles. As the healthcare landscape becomes increasingly complex, Advanced Practice Nurses (APNs) including Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Clinical Nurse Specialists (CNSs), Nurse Midwives and Nurse Anesthetists must adapt to these changes to provide high-quality care and improve patient outcomes. Technology is no longer just an adjunct to nursing practice; it has become a fundamental component of delivering care, managing information and enhancing communication among healthcare providers and patients. In recent years, significant advancements in technology have paved the way for innovative practices in nursing. Tools such as Electronic Health Records (EHRs), telehealth services, mobile health applications and Artificial Intelligence (AI) have transformed how nurses interact with patients, manage data and collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Each of these technological innovations presents unique opportunities to enhance patient care, streamline workflows and improve the overall healthcare experience.
