Hemoglobinopathies, including sickle cell disease and thalassemia, are inherited blood disorders that alter the structure or production of hemoglobin. Emerging evidence suggests an interplay between these two conditions, with potential implications for diagnosis, management, and patient outcomes. This review explores the relationship between asthma and hemoglobinopathies, examining epidemiological data, pathophysiological mechanisms, clinical manifestations, and therapeutic strategies.
