The expression "post-mortem" gets from the Ancient Greek αá½τοψία autopsia, "to see with one's own eyes", got from αá½τÏ?ς (cars, "oneself") and á½?ψις (opsis, "sight, view")."post-mortem" has been utilized since around the seventeenth century, it alludes to the assessment of inside the dead human body to find infections and reason for death.
