Dr. R. Sakthivel, Principal at DMI – St. Eugene University, Zambia holds Ph.D. in Plant Biology and Plant Biotechnology from Madras University, M.Phil. & M.Sc. Degree from Madras University, B.Sc. Degree from Bharathidasan University, Master in Education from Tamil Nadu Teacher Education University and Bachelor in Education from Bharathiyar University. He has worked as a faculty member, Assistant Professor, Deputy Controller of Examination, Head of the Department, and Vice Principal in DMI – St. Eugene University, Zambia - Central Africa, St. Joseph University College of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Songea, Tanzania, East Africa and St. Joseph University in Tanzania, Arusha Campus, Arusha, Tanzania, East Africa. His outstanding work has been widely recognized as he has won the Academic Excellence Awards - 2019 for Distinguished Principal, Outstanding Contribution in Leadership - 2019, Young Scientist Award - 2018 , the Bharat Ratna Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam award - 2011 and he was awarded Senior Research Fellow by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO). Dr. R. Sakthivel’s research interests are in the area of Biofuel from Microalgae. As a researcher, he has published 66 research articles in both International and National peer reviewed journals with Impact factor and he has published 6 books.
