We are pleased to bring you the fourth issue of 2020. Along with few original papers and review papers, for this issue we decided to acknowledge the contributions during this COVID-19 crisis.

I am pleased to mention that during the year 2020, all issues of Epilepsy Journal, volume 6 were published online well within the time and the print issues were also brought out and dispatched within 30 days of publishing the issue online. The objective of ELJ is to publish up-to-date, high-quality and original research papers alongside relevant and insightful reviews.

Anticonvulsants (also commonly known as antiepileptic drugs or as antiseizure drugs) are a diverse group of pharmacological agents used in the treatment of epileptic seizures. Anticonvulsants are also increasingly being used in the treatment of bipolar disorder and borderline personality disorder, since many seem to act as mood stabilizers, and for the treatment of neuropathic pain. Anticonvulsants suppress the excessive rapid firing of neurons during seizures. Anticonvulsants also prevent the spread of the seizure within the brain
