This abstract provides an overview of the concept of adulterants, their classification and the impact they have on society. It highlights the dangers associated with food adulteration, cosmetic adulteration and drug adulteration, emphasizing the health risks they pose to consumers. Furthermore, it discusses the broader societal implications of adulteration, including economic losses and the erosion of consumer trust. Finally, it emphasizes the need for collaborative efforts among governments, regulatory bodies, industry players and consumers to combat adulteration effectively.
