Afaf Semmar currently works in the Department of Radiotherapy, National Institute of Oncology, University Mohammed V, Rabat, Morocco. He is interested in 'imaging pain' by using novel imaging techniques to study peripheral nociception and inflammation with the goal of accurately identifying the location of pain generators. We are developing new approaches with positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) (PET/MRI) and are currently in clinical trials.
