Biography
Dr. Ahmed S. Mehanna is a professor of Medicinal Chemistry at MCPHS University in Boston Massachusetts. He has nearly 25 years of experience in teaching the subject, conducting research directed towards drug discovery of new cardiovascular medications. Dr. Mehanna holds a Ph.D. in Medicinal Chemistry from University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburg Pa in 1986. He had four years of postdoctoral-experience before joining the faculty at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1990 where he is still currently employed. Dr. Mehanna has authored more than 25 manuscripts, 3 patents, mostly in the area of drug discovery of anti-sickling agents.
