  A 45 year-old man was brought to the emergency department having ingested an unknown quantity of a green substance that was subsequently found to be a termite killer containing arsenic trioxide. Despite aggressive resuscitation, chelation therapy and gastrectomy, he died within 24 hours of presentation.
