Biography
Dr. Asfar Azmi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Oncology, Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit, Michigan USA. He has more than a decade of experience in the area of small molecule drug development against important cancer targets such as Bcl-2, Mcl-1, nuclear exporter protein CRM1 and p21 activated kinase 4 (PAK4). Dr. Azmi’s work has led to the clinical translation of a number of cancer drugs such as CRM1 inhibitor Selinexor and recently the PAK4 inhibitor KPT-9274.
