Dr. Beryl Koblin's research focus has been on developing and testing strategies to prevent HIV and other blood-borne infections and conducting studies to better understand the epidemiology of such infections. She has conducted community-based studies related to HIV infection and other blood-borne infections with various populations, including injection drug users, gay men, and women at risk through heterosexual contact. These studies have led to large-scale clinical trials of HIV vaccines and behavioral interventions.
