Biography

Federal University of Piauí, Center for Intelligence in Emerging and Neglected Tropical Disorders (CIATEN), Department of Community Medicine, Teresina, PI, Brazil. He was president of the Brazilian Society of Tropical Medicine between 2011 and 2013. He is currently a professor at the Federal University of Piauí, where he was head of the Department of Community Medicine of this institution from 2015 to 2019.
