Biography
Dr. Daniel Griffin is an instructor in Clinical Medicine and an associate research scientist in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics at Columbia University. Dr. Griffin attended New York University School of Medicine and then did his 3-year categorical internal medicine residency at the University of Utah. After a decade in private practice, he returned to academia and earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Medicine at the Elmezzi Graduate School of Molecular Medicine. Dr. Griffin’s current research focuses on HIV-1 and stem cell latency, as well as stem cell gene therapy utilizing retroviral vectors.
