A New Energy Efficient Clustering-based Protocol for Heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Networks

Energy efficiency is one of the most important design goals for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). To this effect, clustering is mostly used to prolong the lifetime of WSNs. In this study, we propose a new energy efficient (EE) clusteringbased protocol for single-hop, heterogeneous WSNs. The proposed protocol uses channel state information (CSI) in the selection process of Cluster Heads (CHs).
