The rise of Type 2 diabetes is becoming a global public health scare that needs extra attention and management. The increasingly sedentary lifestyle and westernization of diet have grown in parallel with the worldwide rise in obesity which is a major cause of Type 2 diabetes. This study focused on determining the level of awareness and adherence to medication and diet of diabetic patients at Abdi Waluyo Hospital in Jakarta Indonesia, which will be used as a basis for improving the Diabetes Specialty Clinic for the hospital.
