Prevalence of Intestinal Parasites and Other Parasites among HIV/AIDS

One of the major health problems among HIV sero-positive patients are superimposed infection due to the defect of immunity. Furthermore, intestinal parasites infection and other parasites, which are also one of the basic health problems in tropical region, are common among antiretroviral treatment patients. In this study, was aimed to assess the prevalence of intestinal parasites and other parasites among antiretroviral treatment patients in Dilla Referral Hospital. A cross sectional study design on clinical records of HIV/AIDS patients in ART clinics. Systematic simple random sampling method was used to obtain the required data.
