  Analysis of the Implementation and Systematization of a Nursing Office in a Specialized Lithotripsy and Endourology Unit Following the Lean Healthcare Methodology

  Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness and patient satisfaction of the implementation and systematization of a specialized nursery office in a Lithotripsy and Endourology Unit following the Lean Healthcare methodology. Material and Methods: A total quality project management (TQPM) was developed in 2012 and applied in a Lithotripsy and Endourology Unit from a tertiary public Spanish hospital. The initial phase of the BPM was to evaluate the outcomes of our clinical practice and to identify improvement opportunities. The office process is the initial contact of the patient with the Unit in which is made a treatment decision.
