Biography
Gareth Michael Burdon Parkes works in the Forensic Biology Group, School of Applied Sciences, University of Huddersfield, UK. Parkes primary research interests are in the development of novel thermal analysis techniques and their application to materials ranging from pharmaceuticals to metal oxide systems. Current projects include applying high frequency heating and integrating ambient ionisation mass spectrometry with thermomicroscopy. I also have an interest in the detection and analysis of VOCs for forensic applications.
