Born in Urmia, Iran, Tohid Ghanbari Ghazijahani started his education in Urmia's reputable schools, e.g. Nemone-Mardomi (designed for top students). This was followed by his BSc degree in Civil Engineering from Urmia University and MSc in Structural Engineering. Upon commencement of his MSc thesis Tohid joined thin-walled structures' laboratory at Urmia University under supervision of Professor Hossein Showkati, who acted as his MSc supervisor. Great efforts and cooperative endeavours were made during his research there, which paid off with productive published papers and patents.
