Biography

Dr. Gianna Mastroianni Kirsztajn is head of the Nephrology Department at the Federal University of São Paulo, Brazil. She is known for her unique contribution in the field of prevention of kidney diseases. She coordinated the national campaign for prevention of kidney diseases 2003-2010. As recognition of her work as well as considering her vision and wisdom of generating better awareness about kidney disease, she is appointed as Director of the Department of Prevention of Kidney Diseases of the Brazilian Society of Nephrology.
