Biography
Heather’s graduate work focused on characterizing different types of MR contrast agents (CAs) including traditional agents (gadolinium based CAs and iron oxide) and newly developed PARACEST (paramagnetic chemical exchange saturation transfer) agents. Her work involved using the CAs at multiple magnetic field strengths (up to 21.1 T) at the Advanced Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Spectroscopy (AMRIS) facility, part of the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory at the University of Florida.
