Biography

Prof. Dr. Igor Papič received his B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees, all in electrical engineering, from the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia, in 1992, 1995 and 1998, respectively. From 1994 to 1996 he was with Siemens Power Transmission and Distribution Group in Erlangen, Germany. Currently he is a professor at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Ljubljana. In 2001 he was a visiting professor at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. His research interests include power conditioners, FACTS devices, power quality and active distribution networks.
