Dr. Işıl Pakiş was born in 1968 in Kayseri. He graduated from Private Işık High School in 1985. After graduating from Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty in 1991, he worked in Bakırköy State Hospital Emergency Service for 2 years. Between 1993-1996, he completed his pathology residency training at Cerrahpaşa Medical Faculty, Department of Pathology. He worked at the Forensic Medicine Institute between 1997-2010. Between 2002-2006, he completed the Forensic Medicine doctorate program at Marmara University Health Sciences Institute. He has been working as the head of the Department of Forensic Medicine at Acıbadem University since 2010.
