Dr. Iva Dekaris has received her PhD in biomedicine (topic: The Role of Langerhans cells in Corneal Transplantation) at the Medical School of University in Zagreb (Croatia) in year 1999, after completing her one-year Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Harvard Medical School in Boston in1998. Currently, she is working as Medical Director and Head of Cornea Department of the Specialty Eye Hospital “Svjetlost” in Zagreb; and as a professor at Medical Schools of Universities in Zagreb and Rijeka.
