Biography

João Manuel R. S. Tavares has a BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto in 1992. he is senior researcher and project coordinator at the Institute of Science and Innovation in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering. He is Full Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto since 2021.He has been (co-)chair of several scientific national and international conferences and workshops, (co-)chief-editor of scientific international journals, co-guest-editor of special issues of scientific international journals and (co-)author than more of 350 scientific publications, including the co-editing of various scientific books.
