Dr. Friedewald received his undergraduate degree in Psychology from Princeton University and his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons. He completed his residency and fellowship training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
He now works as a transplant nephrologist in Chicago. He is Professor of Medicine and Surgery at Northwestern University in the Divisions of Nephrology and the Comprehensive Transplant Center.
