Biography

Prof. Katerina Kankova, M.D., Ph.D. has received her PhD in Masaryk University during the period of 1997 - 2001. After several years of post-doctoral positions in UK she is currently working as full professor and principal investigator at Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic. She has established research team of young scientists focusing on the elucidation of molecular mechanisms responsible for metabolic abnormalities associated with gluco- and lipotoxicity in diabetes mellitus.
