Kenichiro Yamazaki, M.D. is the medical director and chief surgeon of the Omiya Nanasato Eye Institute (ONEI). He started performing cataract surgeries using multifocal IOLs soon after ONEI was established in 2008.In June, 2012, he performed the first femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery in Japan. He is the most experienced surgeon of laser-assisted cataract surgery in Japan and has performed a large number of multifocal IOLs surgeries (over 700 cases of laser-assisted cataract surgery and 1000 cases of multifocal IOLs, as of July 1st 2015)
