Biography
Kesheng Wang received the Ph.D. degree in production engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway, in 1988. Since 1993, he has been a Professor with the Department of Production and Quality Engineering, NTNU. He is currently Director of the Knowledge Discovery Laboratory, NTNU. His current areas of interest are intelligent manufacturing systems, applied computational intelligence, data mining and knowledge discovery, swarm intelligence, condition-based monitoring and RFID, and predictive maintenance and Industry 4.0. He was an elected member of the Norwegian Academy of Technological Sciences in 2006.
