Dr. M. Chevion is a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. His research projects have focused on the mechanism of food-induced hemolytic crisis in G-6-PD deficiency (Favism), and the role of transition metals in injurious processes in biology. Recently he focused on novel mechanisms of protection of the ischemic heart, brain and retina.
