M Nazmul Karim

Biography

Dr. M. Nazmul (Naz) Karim is the Chair and Professor of Chemical Engineering at Texas Tech University. Educated at the University of Manchester, UK, Dr. Karim has over 30 years of experience in advanced process control research. His research interests are in Model Based Control, Nonlinear Control, Data-Based Control and Optimization, and Bioprocess Analayis and Control. He has published more than 80 refereed journal papers and has made over 400 technical invited and contributed presentations in national and international conferences. He is the co-author (with Jim Riggs) of a textbook, "Chemical and Bioprocess Control."
