Prof . Dr. Mirza Jan after getting basic education from Govt. Primary School, Poye Khel, he continued his further studies from Govt. Degree College. Dera Ismail Khan. Then he went Institute of Communication Studies, University of Punjab, Lahore for higher education. He did his M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Mass Communication from there.
