Dr. Mohammed Barawi, M.D. received his Doctorate of Medicine from Damascus University School of Medicine, Damascus, Syria. He completed his medical training in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Southern Illinois University, Springfield, IL where Dr. Barawi also served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology. Dr. Barawi has published original papers and abstracts on Endoscopic Ultrasound and other Endoscopic procedures. His practice is dedicated to diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the liver and pancreas with special interest in Endoscopic Ultrasound, diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP including stent placement, advanced endoscopy procedures including ESD, EMR and POEM.
