  Primary pleural thymomas are rare tumors often mistaken for malignant mesothelioma clinically and radiologically. The present study reports the case of a 39-year-old woman presented with a pleural tumor in the right thorax. The tumor was surgically resected and histopathologically diagnosed as ectopic primary pleural thymoma lacking any evidence of a médiastinal tumor.
