Biography
N R Birasal earned his doctorate in Zoology in 1989 from Karnatak University Dharwad. The title of Ph.D thesis is Some studies on the changes in the freshwater ecosystem during the impoundment of the Kali river (Karnataka state, India). He has worked as Research Fellow in a project sponsored by Department of Environment, wildlife and forests, Government of India (Western Ghats Research Project No. 9/122/84. En.2) for three years (1984 to 1987). He is currently Associate Professor in Zoology at KLE Society’s G H College Haveri.
