Dr Ouwe Missi Oukem-Boyer is a senior researcher (Immunologist as background), with research interest in tropical infectious diseases (schistosomiasis, trypanosomiasis, HIV/AIDS, hepatitis, malaria). She is vice-chair of the Cameroon Bioethics Initiative (CAMBIN) and member of its Ethics Review Consultancy Committee. In the Republic of Congo, she is a member of the Institutional Review Board of the Fondation Congolese pour la Recherche Medicale (FCRM). She is involved in Capacity Building and in Health Research Ethics in Africa where she has been working for 15 years (in Niger, Gabon and Cameroon).
