Biography

P. Y. Wong received a B.Sc degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Ph.D degree from McMaster University. In 1971, he started his career as a junior clinical biochemist at the Toronto General Hospital. During the past 40 years, he has been working in the Department of Clinical Biochemistry, University Health Network specialized in immunodiagnostics and clinical immunology. Academically, he is a professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathobiology at the University of Toronto. In 2010, he retired from active clinical service and is now working part time in research.
