Biography

Dr. Paban Kumar Dash is a virologist and has been working extensively on emerging and reemerging viruses since past 22 years. His research focuses on the molecular evolutionary studies of emerging viruses and development of molecular (qRT-PCR and RT-LAMP) and immunological detection technologies against viruses of biomedical importance including SARS-CoV-2, pandemic swine flu [A(H1N1)pdm09], Chikungunya, Crimean-Congo hemorrhagic fever and Kyasanur forest disease virus etc. He has published more than 75 papers in national and international journals and about a dozen book chapters. He is a Fellow of ‘Indian Virological Society’
