Graduated in Biological Sciences from the State University of Londrina (1993), master's degree in Biological Sciences (Botany) from the University of São Paulo (1997) and a PhD in Biological Sciences (Botany) from the University of São Paulo (2003). He is currently Professor Doctor Assistant Universidade Estadual Paulista Julio de Mesquita Filho and holds the Executive Vice-coordinator function in Registration Campus. It has experience in Genetics, with emphasis in Molecular Genetics and Plant Biology, working in Applied Biology area of the Agri-Environmental Studies, along the lines of Biomolecules and botany research.
