Biography
S Pirasath an associate professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine and a practicing infectious diseases physician. His laboratory aims to develop and test innovative approaches to the diagnosis, treatment and control of infectious diseases in resource-limited settings. We draw upon multiple fields including mathematical modeling, microbial genetics, field epidemiology, and statistical inference to work on challenging problems in infectious diseases, with an emphasis on tuberculosis and tropical diseases.
