Sílvio Vaz Jris a Scientist for Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation. He received a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in analytical chemistry from University of São Paulo, Brazil. He is graduated in chemistry with an immediate post-graduation in physical chemistry from University of São Paulo, Brazil. He was previously a director and partner of two private analytical laboratories providing environmental analysis. His research interests, as a Scientist lie in development of renewable chemicals from biomass, application of analytical chemistry to bioenergy.
He is now a research scientist at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) working on the development of renewable chemicals from biomass and the application of analytical chemistry to bioenergy. He is also a member of important scientific societies in the chemical sciences and has published articles and books related to renewable chemistry and analytical chemistry.
