Dr. Cohn is the Dr. Witten B. Russ Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. A native of Northern California, he attended Baylor College of Medicine after completing a Biochemistry degree at UC-Santa Barbara. He completed his general surgical training and trauma/critical care fellowship at Baylor and Boston Universities and then began his academic career on the faculty of the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1987.
