Biography

Captain Susan Orsega is a Nurse Practitioner, United States Public Health Service Officer, assigned as a Senior Program Management Consultant Officer to the United States Department of Health and Human Services. She works at the National Institute of Allergy/Infectious Diseases (NIAID), National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland. In this role, she acts as the lead program officer responsible for an International South African HIV research program, a partnership between NIAID, U.S. Department of Defense and South African National Defense Force, involving 6000 patients and 120 South African staff.
