Professor Nikolaeva obtained her Master Science in Gubkin Russian State Oil and Gas University and her second Master in Climate Change and Sustainable Development in the Ecological Research Institute (INIECO), Spain.She worked as a researcher in the Scientific Petrochemical Research Institute in Moscow and currently works in the Laboratory of Industrial Materials in the Physics Department of the National University of Costa Rica.She completed a variety of master courses such as Standardization in the Institute of Postrgraduate Studies for Engineers in Moscow, Specialization and Study of Polymers and X-ray diffraction in University of Fukui, Japan, and Specialization in Materials Science, Atomic Energy Commission, Argentina, Buenos Aires.
Svetlana Nikolaeva area of interest is in the field of Materials and polymer composites, Water treatment, Engineering, Technology, Climate change,Petrochemistry.
