An Assessment of Effectiveness of Drug Rehabilitation Programs in Kisii County- Kenya

According to the World Drug Report, approximately 200 million people, about 5% of the World’s population aged between 15 and 64 years have either been forced or voluntarily sought the help of rehabilitation centers for behavioral modifications [1]. These rehabilitation centers over the years have admitted drug addicts into their rehabilitation programs meant to bring about behavior change among the rehabilitees. However, little is known about the effectiveness of drug rehabilitation programs on behavior modification of drug addicts in rehabilitation centers in Kisii County and its environs. Subsequently, no one has established whether the existing rehabilitation programs put in place to help the drug addicts are functional.
