Biography

Born in 1963 in Huangyan, a town on the southeast coast of China , Cai Tianxin got Ph.D in number theory from Shandong University in 1987, his supervisor is Prof. Pan Chengdong, Since 1998, he has been a professor at Zhejiang University. Recently, he proposed a new variant of the Hilbert-Waring problem and Fermat’s Last Theorem, as the referee of Mathematics of Computation says, “this problem is not trivial at all, and I propose that many mathematicians studying additive theory of numbers may find it reasonably interesting”
