Biography
Dr Hoy, Professor of Medicine, directs the Centre for Chronic Disease at The University of Queensland, Australia. Her research interests include kidney and related chronic diseases in high risk populations, including Aboriginal Australians, Native Americans and African Americans. Wendy collaborates on research and capacity building programs in South Africa, Nigeria and Sri Lanka. She was among the first to describe associations of early life risk factors, and low birthweight on disease susceptibility.
