Biography
His research projects are centered on sex-specific variations in immunoengineering, nano-immunotherapy and immuno-imaging. Two major questions in research are, “What role do nanoparticles (NPs) play in the tumor microenvironment (TME) to regulate innate and adaptive immune systems?” and “How and to what extent could cell sex alter the regulation of innate and adaptive immune systems in TME upon treatment with NPs?” My focus is on dynamic interactions of macrophages and dendritic cells with T cells during antigen presentation and the possibility of using NPs in immuno-oncology to prime T cells for immune checkpoint inhibitors and CAR-T Cell Therapy.
